<div class="paragraph"><p>The <tt>.git-credentials</tt> file is stored in plaintext. Each credential is
stored on its own line as a URL like:</p></div>

credential-store will consider that context a pattern to match against
each entry in the credentials file. If the protocol, hostname, and
